SANTA'S LAND

We awoke this morning at the Frankfort hotel to find the car covered in snow. Luckily we weren't driving it today.

Instead we were on our way to Santa's Land, Roveniemi. The airport was covered in snow but only a 45 minute delay to our flight whilst they de-iced our plane.

There's one way to pass the time, a game of cards, 500 and crazy 8.

Or there's Jayden's way, eating chocolate.

The two flights (Frankfort-Helsinki, Helsinki-Roveniemi) went well except for the fact that we were the last left standing at the baggage carousel with no bags in sight. They've been located and will be arriving late tonight by taxi to the hotel (Rantasipi Pohjanhovi) - phew!

Dave couldn't wait to try reindeer. Even Sofie tried it and said it was delicious but didn't want to eat Rudolph. Dave justified it by saying it was Prancer.

He ate so much of his deliciousness that he went out to walk some reindeer off and take a few pics after dinner but lasted only 10 or so minutes in the cold (- 13 degrees).

Jayden is terribly excited about meeting Santa and can't wait to get a photo with him to show all his family and friends.
