HARRY POTTER IN ROME

"As you are now, we once were. As we are now, you will be."

First up this morning we visited the Cappuchin Crypt. It was seriously "cool." The crypt is a tiny space underneath the Santa Maria della Immacolata Concezione Church in which the bones of more than 4000 monks have been arranged. Strictly no photos allowed but I managed to sneak this one in (forgive me Father for I have sinned).

From here we went to the Pantheon. Unfortunately the outside was being renovated so we didn't get a good pic of the outside.

Piazza Navona was full of activity. We read an article not to miss Tre Scalini's Tartuffo (death by chocolate ice cream dessert) but the closest we could find was the tartuffo flavoured gelato.

Campo de Fiori got a quick visit also before lunch back at Navona and then more walking to Villa Borghese Gardens to kill some time. The gang hired a row boat for a quick, uncoordinated row around the lake.

Then it was time for the long awaited Harry Potter 7 which Sofie, who's been busting to see, found googling VO (voice original) cinemas in Rome. So....it was in English with Italian subtitles. We loved it and are now looking forward to Part 2 back in Brisbane.

Seriously weary tonight. We've done sooooooooo much walking. Lucky the kids were kept high on sugar! See pics here.
