BLARNEY CASTLE

Blarney Castle was mysterious and magical. Climbing the 100 steps to the very top was exciting and Sofie said she was seriously freaked out.

We didn't actually kiss the Blarney Stone and therefore receive the gift of eloquence or as us Aussie's would say, the gift of the gab. Not that we need it! The thought of all that saliva covering the stone was a serious turn off no matter how much power it possesses. We were expecting some sort of rock!

The grounds surrounding the castle were gorgeous. We spent quite some time enjoying all they had to offer. Blarney Castle and Garden photos here.

After checking into our hotel, Spring Hill Court Hotel Spa & Leisure Club, in Kilkenny, I dropped Dave to Smithwick's Brewery for the last tour of the weekend. He said is was brilliant. He found out that the Irish don't drink Kilkenny beer. Apparently, they don't like it. Instead, they drink Smithwick's which is like Kilkenny without the froth and at a lower alcohol content. How's this for a head though! Brewery photos here.

GO DRAGONS!
