RANDOMNESS

Schooling is taking place on most days, these days. Dave is doing a SPLENDID job as Teacher. As Principal I've had to ensure that Sofie is sticking to the Year 6 curriculum and learning what she needs to learn in this grade as well as Dave's curriculum of long division, fractions, etc.

We took some time out yesterday and drove to nearby Evesham and spent the afternoon at the park alongside the river. The park here at the Recreation Ground is close to being finished but not open yet and looks like we might miss it altogether as the "Opening" is set for the 2nd October. Such a shame as it looks like a fabulous park. Each day the kids walk up to see it's progress. Back to Evesham. As soon as we arrived Jayden made friends with two little boys from Canada and he spent the whole time playing with them. Sofie got involved too. It was great to see them playing with other children as they've missed that interaction. I took a peaceful walk alongside the river on the path and was amused by a sign that said "Decision Time - 75 yards or 750 yards" referring to the toilet. Sorry, didn't have the camera to take a pic.

What would we do without Nintendo's? Dinners out are so peaceful! We ate at the Bakers Arms Pub at Broad Campden, one and a half miles down the road from Chipping, last night. Dave has been eating Plaice all over the place!
