HISTORY STILL

Dave has always wanted to have one of these but never found someone who does it in Australia. So, yesterday, he had his very first "cut throat shave." Before, during and after photos here.

It was then onto "Avebury," a world famous stone circle at the heart of a unique prehistoric landscape. The beauty of these stones were that we were able to touch and feel them (unlike Stonehenge), and for the kids climb all over them. Photos here.

It may not be the "Blarney Stone" but I'll take all the power of eloquence and luck I can get.

Whilst Dave prefers to listen to what the stones have to say.

A few minutes drive down the road Dave found his thrill on "Silbury Hill." This is the largest man-made prehistoric mound in Europe. There are many legends surrounding the hill but nothing has ever been found. Photos here.

Last, but certainly not least, was "West Kennet Long Barrow", otherwise known as a tomb. Only Dave entered as the kids were absolutely shattered so we stayed in the car and rested our weary bodies. Dave said it was spoooooky! Photos here.

Another day in the adventurous life of the Stark's.
